How Promising
Is Your
Startup?
What problem are you solving?
Let's evaluate the problem that your start-up is solving. Is it worth it or not? Would consumer really value your proposition? Is there something already better than your solution and you don't know ? Rule out the thought that you are the first one to find solution to the problem. We need to deliberate.
What is your potential market size?
Investors are always keen to know the market size and the growth prospects before they even think of considering to talk. Niche solutions may be relevant to a smaller market size but would a investor touch that?
How about your competition?
Now you know you are not the first one to hit this big idea, so let's realistically evaluate your competition, impartially. Don't ask your friends ,family or the team. Talk to the consumer and the experts and know where you stand .
You Need A Lot
More Than Just
The Solution
How much of runway you have?
Before you find a suitable investor, list of "must demonstrate" are long now. In most of the cases you get investment once you have early traction or you are already profitable at the scale you are at. All of this needs a lot of funds and less of time. How much of Runway you have and how can you be fuel efficient?
How well do you tell and sell your story?
Problem you are solving is need of the hour. You have a MVP and are ready to go all out (with or without Investors). Do you have a story ready that will tell and sell your Start-up's solution? Run of mill does not work. You need an ace up your sleeves. Get "Go To Market" plan and communication in place.
Does your brand reflect confidence?
How is the brand experience, right from the look and feel, UI and UX to features and facilities? Have you woven them all well enough to cast magic on your customers?
